TREK TO SNOW-LINE DURATION 3 DAYS BEST TIME MARCH TO JUNE AND OCTOBER TO NOV. MAXIMUM ALTITUDE 3300MTS. DAY 1: MCLEODGANJ TO TRIUND (Height 2975m Distance 9 Km) Its is a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak and rhododendron. Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole kangra valley on one side and Dhauladhar mountain range on the other. Night stay in a tents or private guest houses. DAY 2 : TRIUND TO SNOWLINE (Height 3350m Distance 4 Km.) The second day trek covers 4km one way distance along glacial moraines. Laka Got situated at the snout of a small glacier is the base camp for the shepherds. The small glacier is called snow-line. Lunch at snow-line and return to triund. Night stay at triund. DAY 3 :TRIUND TO MCLEODGANJ VIA LETA VILLAGE After having a breakfast take the same route on the way back or follow the grassy rodge which will lead to Bhagsunag temple, after crossing a small waterfall on the way.Mcleodganj is only 1.5km from Bhagsunag temple by road.
